Just for Kids Chef Hats

We the Parents wear the chef hat, kids chef hats are worn by our children who would like to help out in the kitchen. It's Food and Fun for kids to participate by Filling the bowl with water, peeling potatoes dicing celery, etc.....kids fun craft starts with two things:

food and fun. So what could be more appealing than a party that offers both in supersize portions?

Below you'll find everything you need to help your kids throw their very first dinner party (OK, lunch party). Ideal for a special birthday celebration or neighborhood get-together, our bash features lasagna that kids can custom-make (and eat!) and our Adorable Apron Cake for dessert. And because a party does not live by food alone, we've also come up with an impressive menu of food fun crafts and games. The result?

Kids Fun Craft and recipe party cooks!

The first thing we done was Choose a date for your party
(ONE WEEK from today)

Second we send out Recipe Card Invitations with a box of
(Kids Fun Craft and Recipes), the theme of the party. Included in the box is a print out of the Make Chef Hats page from chef-hats.net so the children invited can make the kids chef hats as an after-school activity.
Third make a shopping list for all your party supplies such as nonperishable foods, party favorites, and craft supplies.
THREE DAYS BEFORE: Order Kids Busy Baskets sent to your door or assemble the Fun Bucket of Goodies

(fill inexpensive plastic measuring cups with food-related candy like candy peas and carrots, gummy fish, and so on. Cover them with plastic and tie with colorful ribbon and personalized tags). Customize the dinner table by Writing each guest's name on a place mat.

ONE DAY BEFORE: Shop for the remaining ingredients for the lasagnas, and Salad Bake the Apron Cake.

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

1 baked 13-by-9-by-2-inch rectangular cake
2 to 2 1/2 cups white frosting
Red shoestring licorice
Plastic toy kitchen utensils (or other plasticware, trimmed to size)
1 tube colored decorators' icing

(Don't forget to cook the lasagna noodles and meat the night before.)

MORNING OF THE PARTY: Frost and decorate the apron cake and place the lasagna and Salad in bowls on the kitchen table. Choose the right party music.
